According to a report published by Ye Eun on the Value Insight for the Development of China’s 2025 “Web IP” short play, Internet IP has become the “Clockstone” of short play content. In the past two years, the mandate for the reprogramming of the web-enabled short play has grown explosively, with over 1,600 new authorizations in 2024, representing a 81 per cent increase over the same period, and a total of over 3,700.

Data from DataEye-ADX show that at present over half of the short dramas in the market are based on an Internet-based version of IP; in the area of explosive short dramas, the percentage rises to 80 per cent. Apparently, the Internet IP has become the recognized “explosive code” for the short play industry.
This is an increase of 127%. Men’s I.P. short show is the next Blue Sea track.
According to the Ye Eun report, in the last year, the number of women ‘ s shorts was as high as 70 per cent in the first web-based ISP short play and only 30 per cent in men. The female frequency IP shorts have entered the Red Sea competition and become a competition for industry.

Despite the large size of the women ‘ s FMIP market, most of the plays are co-mingled on traditional tracks, resulting in high content homogenization. In addition, as head companies establish industrialization advantages, women ‘ s frequency lanes may be at risk of loss; at the same time, women ‘ s frequency production costs continue to rise, further raising entry and competition thresholds.
The anti-Murnal IP shorts are becoming the Blue Sea track with significant potential. Over the past year, the number of social media discussions in the Men’s Frequency IP shorts has grown by 127 per cent over the same period and has become a new engine of growth in the shorts.

In terms of the combined heat of the male I.P. short show, Top of the list is ” One Scroll of Cloaks ” , followed by ” The Old Scrolls ” , ” My Shining Day is Lived by my great-granddaughters ” , ” A Time Stop ” , ” I’m trapped on the same day ” , ” I’m stuck on the top of the list of five works, which are known as ” Men’s F.I.P. ” .

So, what is the core source of the male frequency I.P. short play?
The Ye Eun report shows that tomatoes are the main supplier of women ‘ s frequency IP in the Internet-based version of the short play market, while flyo occupies an important place in the men ‘ s frequency IP adaptation market. At present, the short play area has basically developed a pattern of “Female and Female Tomato”, in which Feilu has become the central supply platform for the male short play IP, with its “Fully Set, Fast-Steance” content.

FlyLou: 600,000 IPs included Medium
In May 2025, the short-time front-stage seastars worked in exclusive cooperation with the web-based platform flylu novel, which successfully acquired the right to adapt the full volume of flylu works.

(i) flylu novels: the “super reserve” of the male frequency IP
As an old web-based platform established in 2005, the IP stock of flylu novels is highly compatible with the demand for men ‘ s short play, with three core strengths:
First, size and modem advantages. The platform has over 3 million active users on a daily basis, about 100,000 writers on the site +, a stock of original creations of over 600,000, and is growing steadily each year; the “Floux” content, which is characterized by “big brain holes and a little bit of hysteria”, is well suited to the preference of male users, with male authors on the platform accounting for over 35 per cent.
Second, the impact of the industry is significant. Failu is known as the Hoang Poi Military School, 60% of the authors of the Tomato Black List (e.g. a fool, happy salt fish, I don’t eat halogen eggs, etc.) and 10 out of the 12 Kings of Heaven from Feilu, whose capacity for content creation is recognized by the entire industry.

Third, the IP has been market certified. As the only fee-paying web platform that can counterbalance the starting point, in 2025 its pay-paying user, ARPU, was in the top three of the industry. This fee data validates the market attractiveness of its content and also means that the FlyingLIP has a market basis for its transformation from “Male Fiction” to “Men Fiction”.
(ii) Mountain stars: “head player” for male shorts, fifth in the first half of the year
In the area of short play, the stars are strong. According to the Q3DataEye 100 platform list in 2025, the fifth largest category in the mountain star world, with a cumulative heat value of more than 226 million, is in the first tier, in which men ‘ s frequency is highly successful.

As a platform for starting with a male short play, in the early years, the Mountain Star star became famous for his leading role in the male short play field, thanks to his work such as ” Proud of God ” , ” Back to the Old Ages ” , ” The Urban Grand Father ” , ” I was the Supreme Man ” .
At present, mountain stars continue to expand the boundaries of male short play operations: on the one hand, small races such as deep-drying, sports competitions to supplement market supplies; and, on the other hand, they are actively opening up overseas markets to create work that suits the preferences of overseas users, such as ” Misperforming the Dynasty, Misdemeanour ” and ” Ultimate Speed ” .
In fact, cooperation between mountain stars and the IP of the flylu novel has worked well. To date, a number of high-quality flyer IPs have been adapted to cover the core subject matter of male frequency. From market feedback, these adaptations are visible both at the pay end and at the free end, which directly validates the feasibility of the “FluIP+Stairstar Visualization” model.
From an IP reserve point of view, the Fail novels have a large number of male-frequency IPs suitable for short play adaptations, covering the core areas of male demand such as human sensibility, historical emptiness, retroversions, urban brain holes, infinite flow of brain holes, system openings, and the related IPs have entered the development sequence.
This is an exclusive partnership that has created a differential advantage for mountain stars in the context of their male frequency IP competition, with exclusive access to Internet-based IP resources through the acquisition of exclusive rights for the full volume of flylu. In the future, with the continued ability to adapt to their own visualizations, the stars of the mountains are expected to hatch more men’s short-time dramas.
New resources battle! No “IP” short play.
Since 2025, competition in the short play industry has shifted from “contents” to “IP resource competition” and the head platform has explored three typical layouts, each focusing on advantages and disadvantages.
Model I: An exclusive model of cooperation
Some of the short play platforms choose to work exclusively with the web-based platform to build competitive barriers through access to dedicated IP resources. The core logic of the model lies in “resource exclusivity” — a platform that, through exclusive delegation of authority, can have the sole authority to adapt a given IP, avoid the re-development of the same IP by the same platform, and thus create a differential content advantage.
For example, in collaboration with the Fail novels, the Mountain Sea directly controls the “core resource bank” of the IP version of the Men’s Frequency Network by acquiring exclusive rights to the full volume of Fail novels. The core strength of this model lies in “frequentness”, where the use of exclusive resources can create differential competitive barriers and attract user groups with strong demand for specific IPs.
It is a matter of concern that the current mainstream short play market (e.g., Hanaya Island, stable studios) focuses more on women’s frequency lanes, while mountain stars, with their strong male-frequency genes and exclusive IP, will not only further consolidate the male-frequency domain’s leading position, but will more likely become a “model room” for the development of male-male dramas in the industry, providing a viable development path for similar platforms.
Mode II: Non-exclusive cooperation models
Other short play companies have chosen to work in a non-exclusive partnership with the Web-based platform to provide more diverse material for content creation through an extensive collection of IP resources.
The advantage of this model lies in the “wide reach” of the platform, which also has access to IP resources from different web-based platforms to cover more subject matter types, thus meeting the diverse needs of different users and reducing the risk of single IP cooperation.
But this model is also more obvious: because the IP authorization is not exclusive, there is a tendency to “one-size-fits-all” that leads to a confluence of the IP-modified short play in the market, causing user aesthetic fatigue. This requires a platform for this model, which needs to invest more innovative energy in the IP adaptation, to enable work to emerge from the same competition through differentiated narrative design, visual presentation or actor selection.
Mode 3: Original IP mode
In addition to external cooperation, some short play companies have begun to develop their own original IP layout, build brand names and enhance user viscosity through the creation of an exclusive micro-short play IP.
The core of this model is “IP controlability”, where the platform can autonomously plan the subject direction, narrative logic and long-line development path of the IP, without relying on external authorization, and can achieve its deposition through continuous operation.
For example, in the layout of the women’s channel, the Mountain Star uses the idea of launching the “Peach Flowers” with a high-colored, exclusive female frequency, anchoring new generations of female users between the ages of 18 and 35, focusing on the fine “Women-to-Young” micro-feminine and building its own IP matrix through original content.
The “Peachflower” has been launched in a number of works that cover such types as urban kinship, ancient power, skepticism, cross-attacks, etc., of which the short film “The Spectrum” has a fever of over 43 million red fruit and a collection of 1.27 million.
According to the publicly available information, the short-show card will build the ecology of “short-show + artist broker + IP derivative” and will cover short-show production, artist broker and IP derivative development. The company has now signed up short-time performers like Sun, Lu Minjie and Lee Monjoon, and 11 years after the passing of the early white moon light, new dramas such as Sing-sung-sung 2 and ” The Hand-in-Chief ” , and ” The Moon again” are on the line.
In terms of industry development, the “IP dependency” of the short play industry is no longer a short-term phenomenon, but a necessary choice after it enters the phase of precision. IP is not only a “security pad” for short plays, but also the core of platform-differentiated competition.
From the layout of the IP of the Mountain Star, its collaboration with the Failian novels is a strategic reserve of the resources of the male frequency IP; the “Peachflower” card is an important exploration of the original IP (the new scenes like “The Sunshine of the Sunshine” and “The Sunshine of the Sunshine” are coming on line 11 years later. This parallel strategy of “external IP introduction + internal IP incubation” may be the main layout of the head platform.
